Youth Speaking Programs
Whether you’re in high school or college, did you know that God never meant for your trials to defeat you, pain to overcome you, nor bad news to depress you?
Janet’s keynote presentation titled, “Victory—Your Deep Desire -- God’s Perfect Plan” illustrates this truth in her compelling message to youth groups.
She draws from her own past encounters with rejection, feelings of inadequacy, doubt, confusion and pain. Her adjustment to a foreign country, her blindness, the murder of her child, and the acquittal of the man who took his life all bring powerful illustrations that demonstrate to young people that circumstances don’t have to determine our tomorrows. With vibrant stories, humor and riveting examples, she brings a message of victory and confidence.
In her lively and dynamic style, she tailors her messages to address areas such as the ones below (presented by young people at a recent event):
“Dear God, I don’t know what you want me to do in my life. What’s my calling!!!??? I’m LOST!”
“Why did you make me?”
“Dear God, please help me get through my friend's passing. I still don’t feel over it. I feel like it's my fault. I need help. What should I do?”
“I would ask God 4 forgiveness 4 what I have done 2 others and 2 forgive others 4 what they have done 2 me. I have been a bad person, have sinned n by doing that, I lost the girl of my life so I ask god to let her forgive me 4 what I have don 2 her.”
“I want God to heal me spiritually.”
“God – why aren’t we closer? Show me what the barriers are between us. Beyond that, I need you to bring us together ‘cause I can’t fix what I have broken.”
“I know I need you and I know you’re there. I just need to remember that. Please help me with my family and how fake everything is. Please help me to remember
to talk to you when I’m most upset! Please help me through my struggles!”
“God, will I graduate on time?”
“I would ask what I am supposed to be doing. I know I am supposed to do something great because all the obstacles in the world haven’t stopped me from being who and where I am today. I know something is coming but I don’t know what it is. I feel really anxious & confused.”
In the profundity of their hearts, the above questions burden youth today. Since Janet has experienced similar struggles, her presentations resonate with God’s truth applied in order to rise above disappointment, confusion and fear.
